Middle School Curriculum
The Middle School curriculum expands the academic foundation established in the Lower School and builds toward the more rigorous demands of the Upper School. Students are required to take core subjects in English, mathematics, science, Spanish, and history, and they are also given the opportunity to explore interests in the arts. All classes focus on the ability to articulate thoughts in oral and written work. In the eighth grade, students are given the opportunity to take a Media class and produce a weekly news-magazine program.

Sixth Grade courses include: English, mathematics, health and physical education, U.S. history and current events, science, Spanish, and one quarter each of studio art, drama, music, and study skills.

Seventh Grade courses include: English, pre-algebra, algebra IA, or algebra I, health and physical education, U.S. history and current events, science, Spanish, and two one-semester electives of a student's choice including studio art, media, drama, or music.

Eighth Grade courses include: English, algebra IA or algebra I, health and physical education, history and current events, science, Spanish, and two one-semester electives of a student's choice including studio art, media, drama, or music.
