Fall Carnival
Friday, October 28, 2011 12:00-3:00pm
IMPORTANT NOTE ON STUDENT PARTICIPATION: Lower School students will be dismissed at 11:45 to put on their costumes (no masks please) and then enjoy the festivities. All Lower School students must be accompanied by a chaperone or else attend C-Club, which will then go to the Carnival. Middle School students will have a half day schedule (classes will end at 12). Children may be picked up any time after 12:00 (please let the front office know your plans). After classes end, Middle School students will be allowed to change into costumes (no masks please). They will attend the carnival from 12 – 1:30. They can buy food, play games, etc. At 1:30, the Middle School will break off from the carnival for a Middle-School-only party until 3:00, including s’mores, candied apples, a costume contest, Halloween songs, etc. Upper School students will have a shortened day of classes. Students will then take part in an afternoon of service learning or team-building activities within their advisory groups. Their attendance for the full day of school activities is mandatory as the afternoon is designed to build community relations and create fun memories with their classmates. Upper School students should be dressed in uniform for the morning classes. They may then change into school-appropriate clothing as necessary for the specific activities in which they will be participating. If you have any further questions, please contact Gretchen Batalis, Head of Upper School.
