Schoolhouse Fare Lunch Program
At Charleston Collegiate School
Who are we? The Schoolhouse Fare, LLC owners are Carol Fair and Bradley Morrow, stay–at-home mothers with school-age children, located in Charleston, South Carolina.
What is it? This is an automated, full-service lunch management program that provides families the convenience of ordering and paying for school lunches online. The program is offered at no cost to the school with a portion of the lunch revenue donated to Charleston Collegiate School. View our website at www.schoolhousefare.com for additional information.
What are the lunches? An à la carte monthly menu offers a variety of popular and healthy menu choices from local ‘family dining’ restaurants. Food from a different restaurant is offered each day of the week, with this schedule repeating throughout the month. For an entrée with a side of fruit, the prices start at $3.50 per lunch. Side items and milk are available.
What are the nutritional components? The menu is trans fat free and offers fruit, vegetables, and calcium- and protein-rich foods on a daily basis. The nutritional profile of the menu has been reviewed by nutrition and wellness expert Dr. Ann G. Kulze of Charleston to promote reasonably healthy and balanced lunches. Who can use it? All Charleston Collegiate School families and staff members who have registered with Schoolhouse Fare can access the lunch order program.
How do I pay? Payments are made through a secure site with Visa, MasterCard or Discover credit cards. Other payment options are to telephone us with your credit card information or to pay by check. Check payments should be submitted at the time of the order and mailed to Schoolhouse Fare, LLC.
When is the first menu posted? On July 28th, the August 21st through September 5th menu will be posted and will available for orders through August 12th.
How do I get started?
For returning families: Log in with your email address and password from the 2007-2008 school year. If you have forgotten your password, request password on the log in page or contact us for assistance.
For First Time Users to Register and Set Up an Account:
1. Log onto the Charleston Collegiate School website for the lunch link or go to http://orders.schoolhousefare.com/
2. Once on the Schoolhouse Fare log-in page, click on “First Time User” and activate account.
3. Enter your 10 digit home phone number and your 5 digit area code (no dashes or spaces). After this registration, future log-ins will be with your email address and personal password.
4. Follow the prompts to create your personal password and to set up your family account. Each student of the family will be listed under their 2008-2009 grade levels.
5. Review and accept the online ordering user agreement.
6. Select your lunch items then submit and pay for the order.
