Community Events

A key part of the Charleston Collegiate experience is engagement with the Sea Islands community. Sometimes that includes inviting people to our campus like hosting the local farmers market on the weekends, and sometimes that takes the form of major community events off campus like our Fall Festival and 5K run. Engaging with the community is a key part of who we are and our students expand their knowledge, life experiences, and appreciation for the Lowcountry from it.

Fall Festival at Kiawah River, featuring the Run Like the Devil 5K and Fun Run
Each Autumn, families and friends are invited to enjoy a farmers market full of local makers and goods, classic fall festival games, live music, food trucks and more. Pets are welcome and must be leashed at all times. The event takes place at Kiawah River, where attendees and race participants enjoy unmatched views of the season-changing leaves in the Lowcountry.

Sun Devil Classic Golf Tournament
Our golf tournament brings together friends of CCS from around the state. Teams compete for prizes, enjoy delicious food, and give generously to support our school. The Golf Club at Briar’s Creek generously hosts our tournament each year.

Annual Auction & Gala
Our auction and gala include a live auction, silent auction, and raffle all in support of Charleston Collegiate School. It is a terrific night of camaraderie, celebration, and support for the school. Each year includes a different and fun theme. We hope to see you there!

Our Mission

Charleston Collegiate School’s mission is to empower students in a student-centered approach that values collaboration, innovation, and individuality to become resilient leaders for 21st century careers.

We bring our mission to life through four Pillars of Education: Project-Based Learning, Outdoor Education, Entrepreneurship, and Arts & Creativity. These pillars shape daily experiences that challenge students to collaborate, think independently, and apply their learning in real-world contexts. Students don’t simply learn content, they question it, explore it, and use it to solve meaningful problems.
