Why do we have a campaign?
Simply put, when exceptional people deliver distinctive programs in inspiring places, the possibilities are limitless. Charleston Collegiate School already has extraordinary students, faculty, and programs. This campaign is about creating the spaces that allow those strengths to flourish for generations to come. The Pillars Pavilion will provide flexible learning environments, gathering spaces, and opportunities for connection that reflect the innovative, experiential education happening every day at CCS.

Are naming opportunities available?
Yes. A comprehensive recognition plan has been thoughtfully designed to honor and thank the generous individuals, families, and organizations whose leadership philanthropy is making the Pillars Pavilion Campaign a reality. Is CCS looking to increase the size of its student body through this campaign?
Yes, thoughtfully and intentionally. Charleston Collegiate anticipates gradual enrollment growth over the coming years, but this campaign is not about becoming a significantly larger school. The Pillars Pavilion Campaign will ensure our campus grows alongside our students and programs, allowing us to preserve the close-knit community and exceptional educational experience that define Charleston Collegiate while thoughtfully welcoming more families over time.

What is the campaign goal?
10 Million.

Will tuition be increased as a result of the campaign?
No. Tuition and campaign fundraising serve different purposes. The Pillars Pavilion Campaign is raising philanthropic support for the Pillars Pavilion and other capital improvements. Tuition supports Charleston Collegiate’s annual operating budget, including academic programs, faculty and staff, financial aid, and the day-to-day educational experience. By funding construction through charitable gifts, campaign expenses remain separate from operating expenses. Tuition will not increase as a result of this campaign.

How long do I have to make my campaign pledge payments?
Most campaign pledges are fulfilled over three to five years, allowing donors to make a meaningful commitment in a way that fits their financial plans. Charleston Collegiate is happy to work with each donor to create a pledge schedule that is both convenient and impactful.

Do Annual Fund contributions go toward these campus enhancements?
No. Annual Fund gifts and campaign gifts serve different purposes. Annual Fund contributions provide unrestricted support for Charleston Collegiate’s greatest needs each year, including academics, faculty, tuition assistance, athletics, technology, and the overall student experience. Campaign gifts are designated specifically for the Pillars Pavilion Campaign. We hope donors will consider a campaign commitment as an investment in addition to their ongoing Annual Fund support.

What is the difference between the Annual Fund and the Capital Campaign?
The Annual Fund and the Pillars Pavilion Campaign support different, but equally important, priorities. The Annual Fund provides unrestricted support for Charleston Collegiate’s annual operating budget, including academics, faculty and staff, tuition assistance, athletics, technology, and the overall student experience. The Pillars Pavilion Campaign is a capital campaign that raises philanthropic support for transformative campus enhancements and long-term investments in the school’s future. Together, these two initiatives ensure Charleston Collegiate can meet today’s needs while building for tomorrow.
