Johns Island, S.C. – February 19, 2026 – Charleston Collegiate School (CCS) celebrated a major milestone at the 10th Annual McNair Invitational, hosted February 17 at The Golf Club at Briar’s Creek. This year’s tournament raised $268,000 for student scholarships, pushing lifetime giving past $4 million.

The total includes $168,000 generously contributed by more than 35 Briar’s Creek members and was boosted by a $100,000 matching gift from The Robert and Janice McNair Foundation.

“These scholarship funds open doors for talented students and strengthen our school community,” said Andy Gyves, Head of School. “Thanks to the Briar’s Creek community, more young people can experience a Charleston Collegiate education and thrive.”

Clint Wood, General Manager at Briar’s Creek, added, “It’s inspiring to see our members come together to support local students. The McNair Invitational shows the impact of community partnership at its best.”

In 2025 alone, contributions from Briar’s Creek helped fund 65 financial aid and scholarship awards. CCS leaders are excited to see the 2026 gifts in action during the upcoming school year as the school continues its mission of innovative, student-centered education.
