Charleston Collegiate Launches $10 Million Campaign for the Pillars Pavilion
A new chapter is taking shape at Charleston Collegiate School! On September 15, 2026, CCS announced the launch of the Pillars Pavilion Campaign, a $10 million capital campaign to build a new 12,000-square-foot facility at the heart of its Johns Island campus.
Designed to create more opportunities for students to learn, collaborate, create, and connect, the Pillars Pavilion will add six flexible classrooms along with dedicated spaces for community gatherings, performing arts, and presentations. The new facility will serve students from PS3 through Grade 12 and bring CCS’s four educational pillars to life: Project-Based Learning, Outdoor Education, Entrepreneurship, and Performing and Visual Arts.
Building Spaces for What’s Possible
As Johns Island and the greater Charleston area continue to grow, CCS is looking ahead to the needs of future generations of students. The Pavilion will provide additional space and flexibility as the school works toward a goal of approximately 530 students, while preserving the close-knit, relationship-based environment that makes CCS special.
Located at the heart of campus, the facility will also create new opportunities for students and faculty to work across grade levels and disciplines, share their work, and bring the community together.
“The Pillars Pavilion is an investment in our students and in the future of our community,” said Andy Gyves, Head of School. “Our students are doing extraordinary things every day. They are designing, creating, performing, solving problems, collaborating, and applying what they learn to the real world. Our campus needs to reflect that same energy and possibility.”
Investing in the Future of CCS
Designed by LS3P, with Hill Construction leading the project, the Pillars Pavilion represents an investment in the future of education on Johns Island and throughout the greater Charleston area.
The campaign invites CCS families, alumni, grandparents, friends, and community partners to be part of this shared vision. Together, their support will help create spaces where students can explore their interests, discover their strengths, and prepare to make an impact in the world.
This is more than a new building. It’s an investment in the experiences, opportunities, and relationships that will shape generations of Sun Devils to come.
