Jessica Hardy Appointed to College of Charleston’s Counselor Advisory Board
Charleston Collegiate School is proud to share that Jessica Hardy, Director of College Counseling, has been appointed to the College of Charleston’s Counselor Advisory Board. The appointment recognizes Jessica’s experience in college counseling and her commitment to helping students and families navigate the college admissions process.
A National Network of College Counselors
The board brings together a select group of approximately 10 to 11 high school counselors from across the country to advise the College of Charleston’s Office of Admissions. Members represent regions including the Southeast, Midwest, West Coast, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Together, they offer insight and feedback on recruitment strategies, outreach, and admissions practices, with a shared goal of keeping the process transparent and student-centered. Members are selected based on their experience in the field and recommendations from the College’s own admissions counselors.
Bringing Student Voices to the Table
For Jessica, the opportunity is especially meaningful because of her connection to Charleston and the College.
“I’m truly honored and grateful to serve on the College of Charleston’s Counselor Advisory Board. Charleston is my home now, and this is a school I care about. Every day I sit across the table from students and families, and I know their hopes, their worries, and the questions they’re afraid to ask out loud. I’m excited to bring those voices to the table and to work alongside the admissions team, whom I deeply respect, to keep the process open, honest, and centered on students. Helping young people find the place where they’ll thrive is the heart of why I do this work.”
At CCS, Jessica brings that same student-centered approach to helping students explore their options, navigate applications, and find the right fit for life after graduation.
